Integration Conversations
God calls his people into every meaningful domain of social, civic, artistic and economic life. Ministry then, is something that can and should be done everywhere. Our city is full of committed and thoughtful Christians who serve in important roles and places of great influence. These conversations are an attempt to highlight some of those people, telling their stories and having a dialogue about the lessons they have learned as they have worked to integrate their faith into their unique work.
This semester we welcome Stephen Hufford. Stephen is the Senior Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking at Raymond James. Prior to his current role, Mr. Hufford served as the Chief Operating Officer of Investment Banking. Before his role as COO, Mr. Hufford was integrally involved in the development and leadership of the firm’s market-leading financial technology and payments investment banking practice. He has completed more than 100 M&A and financing transactions in his career. Mr. Hufford has more than two decades of deal-making experience in corporate development, corporate law and investment banking. He graduated from James Madison University with dual degrees in Political Science and Russian Language, and received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
Brian will sit down with Steve, in the intimate setting of the Union Corner, and use an interview format to hear and learn from his story. There will be light refreshments, and also a time of Q&A for the audience.

Peacemaking 101
As we move toward big ideas like collaboration and unity, we are also faced with the very real tensions, ideas, and encounter that frustrate and divide us. Leadership in this age will require the new skill not just of facilitating collaboration, but in managing and healing conflicts.
We are looking for people who sense a call from God to lead in this kind of ministry. Our hope is to identify, support, and equip a handful of leaders to be trained and serve the region in this unique kind of work. This first event is intended as an introductory training workshop in conflict resolution, facilitation, and leadership.
This half day seminar will be led by Katherine Sappia, who is the Director of Peacemaking for The Christian and Missionary Alliance and co-sponsored by Church United and the Center for Christian Study.
Space is limited and lunch will be provided.

Faculty & Staff Bible Study
The Center for Christian Study at USF is hosting a monthly Bible study specifically for USF Faculty and Staff at Union Corner, adjacent to campus. This ecumenical gathering brings together colleagues from across Christian traditions around the shared foundations of our faith.
Each 90-minute gathering will include fellowship, Scripture, discussion, and prayer for one another and the USF community. Faculty and Staff will share in leading prayer and reading Scripture, with our discussions drawing initially from the Revised Common Lectionary. Our aim is to create a welcoming space where every participant has an opportunity to contribute, build relationships with other Christian colleagues, and seek together the flourishing of our university.

Women, Work, & Calling
This annual gathering brings together Christian women across industries, churches, and stages of life to explore what it means to faithfully follow God’s calling through our work. This year’s theme, “Find Your Place in God’s Story,” will look to the stories of working women throughout Scripture and explore three themes for our work today:
STRENGTH — Who has God created me to be?
COURAGE — What does faithfulness require of me?
RIGHTEOUSNESS — How will I steward the influence God entrusts to me?
CCS will join host sites around the country to experience the WWC26 livestream together, hear from Christian women leaders, engage in meaningful conversation, and consider how our faith shapes the work God has given us to do.

Apologetics Event
Everywhere you look, people are hungry for something more. Spiritual curiosity is rising, but who’s meeting the Joe Rogans of our time at the mic? Has the truth, goodness, and beauty of Christianity been revealed to them? And if so, have they been given good reasons to believe it?
Now is the time for clarity.
At The Apologetics Experience, you will not only hear from Lee Strobel, best-selling author of The Case for Christ, but you will encounter the mission of Apologetics, Inc., a growing ministry that engages skeptics, guides the spiritually curious, and equips students, families, and churches with concrete answers for our most difficult questions.
The Life of the Mind: a Christian Response to AI
Artificial Intelligence is rapidly being applied to every realm of our lives. The speed of that change threatens to outpace the speed of our faithful consideration. While some are predicting salvation and others doom - how should thoughtful Christians respond to both the innovations and the threats to human flourishing?
We had a panel of Christian academics address this crucial moment in history and the profound questions surrounding it.
