God calls his people into every meaningful domain of social, civic, artistic and economic life. Ministry then, is something that can and should be done everywhere. Our city is full of committed and thoughtful Christians who serve in important roles and places of great influence. These conversations are an attempt to highlight some of those people, telling their stories and having a dialogue about the lessons they have learned as they have worked to integrate their faith into their unique work.
This semester we welcomed Stephen Hufford. Stephen is the Senior Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking at Raymond James. Prior to his current role, Mr. Hufford served as the Chief Operating Officer of Investment Banking. Before his role as COO, Mr. Hufford was integrally involved in the development and leadership of the firm’s market-leading financial technology and payments investment banking practice. He has completed more than 100 M&A and financing transactions in his career. Mr. Hufford has more than two decades of deal-making experience in corporate development, corporate law and investment banking. He graduated from James Madison University with dual degrees in Political Science and Russian Language, and received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
